  • Oman Zaman: Traces of the Past

    By Margaret Kapenga Shurdom

I grew up in Oman while my missionary parents served in Muscat from 1948–1983, and though I later studied abroad, my deep love for the country has always drawn me back. This book shares glimpses of old Oman through my family’s photos, letters, and memories, preserving the heritage and beauty that many younger Omanis may not know.

  • The Red Hotel: Tribute to a Lost World

By by Lita Slutsky Newman Moses (Author), Daniel Noah Moses (Preface)

TThe Red Hotel: Tribute to a Lost World is a vivid memoir by Lita “Slutsky” Newman Moses, offering an intimate glimpse into life at The Arrowhead Lodge, a left-wing “Borsht Belt” hotel of the 1940s and ’50s, through the eyes of the proprietor’s daughter. Blending personal coming-of-age reflections with a larger meditation on hope, democracy, and belonging, it captures the story of one immigrant Jewish family and an era now lost to time.

  • Shovels & Chandeliers

    Shovels & Chandeliers

    By Laura Chester

Laura Chester has consistently been praised for her hypnotic literary technique, liberating ethic and feminine metaphysic, with desire pulsating in the everyday. A collaged selection of prose and poetry presents her at her very best, confirming what the poet Robert Creeley had to say — "The lucid grace of Laura Chester's writing is always a singular pleasure."
